Kemah- our mini vacation

This weekend we went to Kemah (a boardwalk near Galveston) with some friends Ross and Michelle. We had a blast! We really enjoy hanging out with couples our age who we can relate to. Especially this couple! They are so sweet and great friends of ours. They are also about to buy a house so we received lots of advice from them on how to get started, since we are seriously thinking about getting one in the next 4-5 months. Our lease is over in October, so we need to start doing the loan applications and search around for exactly what we are looking for.

In Kemah, there are restaurants, shops, a pier with roller coasters and kiddie rides. I couldn't convince Robby to ride any of the rides, though he has promised to ride the "New York New York" roller coaster in Las Vegas when we go for our honey moon. I can't wait to spend some time with Robby alone in another state! It is nice having money to be able to do fun things together.

Friday we also went to the church and squared away some details. I didn't realize how many details occur in a wedding, besides flowers and cake. I now have to decide who walks what grandparents, what vows we want from the Bible, and what times everyone needs to be there. DETAILS DETAILS DETAILS. Robby is very supportive though and I am happy to have him be willing to do these things with me. Some grooms are very disinterested in those types of things. It makes me realize how great of a husband Robby will be, if he cares about these little things that I care about.

2 months and 1 week away!
