GREAT NEWS!!!

I went to the doctor today for a normal check up and the doctor said i was 36 weeks and 3 days, when i thought i was 35 weeks. So according to the doctor the due date is Sept. 5th now and not the 14th! And just when I thought that was the greatest news ever, the doctor said I was dilated at 1 cm. I couldn't believe it!

We talked about induction, which she said I could get on a list next week for the induction date I want and hope that I either go into labor earlier than the induction date, or hope that there isn't a lot of babies being born that day. A lot of babies being born that day would bump me off the list of having madison that day b/c women in active labor are a higher priority than a woman who WANTS to go into labor. Totally understandable though. The induction dates I could pick from, are around 39 weeks. The doctor said worse case they would only let me go a couple days past 40 weeks before I become top priority for delivery. Which is great, b/c we know a girl who was made to go till 42 weeks before they would induce her. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. My doctor even said letting a paitent go that long can be bad for the baby b/c the placenta does not work as well when you let them go past 40 weeks. But the doctor did mention that she didn't think I would go past 40 weeks since I was already dilating and have been having light contractions. So pray for Madison's arrival before 40 weeks :).

So thats the news! Next monday I have another appointment and I believe they will check me again to see if I am dilating any more. I will keep everyone posted!!
