ER trip

Maddie had her first and hopefully last emergency room visit today. When my mom was still here this morning we noticed maddies head was really warm. I took her temperature and nothing showed up...99.7 (which is normal for a baby). So i gave her some tylenol and we drove to drop my mom off at the airport. When we got home she was really fussy...I felt like she was warmer so I checked again and her temp. read 102.7...so i decided that was hot enough for me and we called the doctor but they aren't open on sundays, so we just decided to head to the ER to get this taken care of. She was so lethargic...she even sat in my lap the whole time we waited (which is unusual for her). They gave her motrin to lower her fever and out popped this great personality we knew existed. They said her ears weren't horrible but they looked slightly infected so they gave her a shot to kill any kind of ear infection there might be.

Poor baby. :( It was sad hearing her cry in pain when she had a fever. I'm hoping she feels much better tomorrow!
